Take Interstate 5 or 805 South through San Diego to the San Ysidro border crossing into Mexico. We recommend that you purchase Mexican auto insurance, the cost of which is nominal, at one of the several insurance vendors near the border. After crossing through the border checkpoint, follow the signs (large green with white letters) which say "Rosarito-Ensenada Cuota" (Toll-Road). Tolls are minimal and payable in either pesos or US currency. After the second toll booth, which is at the south end of Rosarito Beach, begin watching for the kilometer markers at the side of the highway. At 49km, is the Puerto Nuevo Exit, get off the toll road and turn left at the off ramp, and travel half a mile.

Rosarito Beach is almost commuting distance from San Diego. You can reach Rosarito Beach via a four lane divided highway from Tijuana.
